Does the like button light up on the main page?

I have a question. I push the like button inside of a group but then when I go out to the main page that exact same post no longer has my like button pushed/highlighted. Perfect example tonight, I liked WayneandMary's post inside the Bonfire tonight but I come back out to the main sight and it's not highlighted
